Building Tour Packages
The Travel module helps you publish tours, destinations, and travel experiences on your storefront. Each tour can include a multi-day itinerary, seasonal pricing tiers, and links to one or more destinations.
Step 1: Add Destinations First
Before creating a tour, set up the destinations it will visit. Go to Travel > Destinations and click "New Destination". Provide a title, description, cover image, and slug. Destinations also appear as standalone pages on your storefront under /places.
Step 2: Create Tour Categories
Organize tours by type — for example, "Cultural", "Adventure", or "Food & Wine". Switch to the Categories tab in the Travel panel and click "Add Category". Each category has a name, slug, optional description, and image.
Step 3: Create a New Tour
Open Travel > Tours and click "New Tour". Fill in the basics:
- Title and Slug — How the tour appears in listings and URLs.
- Description — A rich-text overview of what the tour includes.
- Duration (Days) — How long the tour runs.
- Price From and Price Per Guest — Base pricing shown on the listing.
- Categories and Destinations — Select one or more from your previously created lists.
Step 4: Build the Daily Itinerary
Scroll to the Itinerary section and click "Add Step" for each day. For each step, enter:
- Step Title — e.g., "Day 1: Arrival in Istanbul".
- Description — Activities, meals, transfers, and stops.
Reorder steps with the drag handles to fine-tune the day-by-day flow.
Step 5: Add Seasonal Pricing Tiers
If your tour costs more in peak season or includes early-bird discounts, add pricing tiers. Each tier has a label (e.g., "High Season"), a per-guest price, and optional date range. Mark one tier as the default — it is used when no other tier matches the booking date.
Step 6: Add Inclusions and Quick Facts
Use the Included and Excluded lists to clearly show what is in the price (e.g., "Hotel breakfast", "Airport transfers") versus what is not (e.g., "International flights"). Add Quick Facts like group size or difficulty level for at-a-glance info on the tour page.
Step 7: Publish
Change the status from Draft to Published and save. The tour immediately appears on your storefront under /tours and any linked category pages.
