Configuring Shipping Options

Proper shipping configuration ensures your customers see accurate delivery costs at checkout. This guide explains how to set up regions, rates, and special options.

Understanding Regions

Regions in Nuvi group countries that share the same shipping and tax settings. For example, you might have:

  • Domestic — Your home country with local shipping rates
  • Europe — EU countries with a different rate structure
  • International — Rest of the world

Creating a Shipping Option

  1. Navigate to Settings > Regions.
  2. Select the region you want to configure.
  3. Click "Add Shipping Option".
  4. Enter a Name (e.g., "Standard Shipping", "Express Delivery").
  5. Set the Price — either a flat rate or calculated per item.
  6. Optionally set an estimated delivery time (e.g., "3-5 business days").
  7. Save the shipping option.

Free Shipping

To offer free shipping above a certain order amount:

  1. Create a shipping option with a price of 0.
  2. Set a minimum order requirement in the conditions.
  3. Name it clearly, such as "Free Shipping (orders over $50)".

Multiple Shipping Options

You can offer multiple shipping options per region. At checkout, customers will see all available options and can choose based on price and delivery speed. Common setups include:

  • Standard Shipping — Affordable, 5-7 days
  • Express Shipping — Premium price, 1-2 days
  • Free Shipping — Over a minimum order amount

Testing Your Setup

After configuring shipping, place a test order on your storefront to verify that the correct shipping options appear at checkout and that prices are calculated properly.
