Organizing with Collections
Collections let you group related products together, making it easier for customers to find what they are looking for. Think of them as curated categories or featured groups.
Creating a Collection
- Go to Products > Collections in the admin panel.
- Click "New Collection".
- Enter a Title (e.g., "Summer Sale", "Best Sellers", "New Arrivals").
- Add a Handle — the URL-friendly slug (auto-generated from the title).
- Optionally add a Description and Image for the collection page.
- Click "Save".
Adding Products to a Collection
There are two ways to add products:
- From the collection page: Open the collection, click "Add Products", search for products, and select them.
- From a product page: Open any product, scroll to the Collections section, and select which collections it belongs to.
A product can belong to multiple collections simultaneously.
Collection Types
Consider creating collections for different purposes:
- Seasonal — "Winter Collection", "Spring Sale"
- Category-based — "Electronics", "Clothing", "Accessories"
- Promotional — "Best Sellers", "Staff Picks", "Clearance"
- Customer segment — "Gifts Under $25", "Premium Collection"
Displaying Collections on Your Storefront
Collections automatically get their own page at /collections/your-handle. You can also feature collections on your homepage by adding a Featured Collection section through the AI assistant or the theme customizer.
Sorting Products in a Collection
Within a collection, you can drag and drop products to control the display order. Products at the top appear first on the collection page.
